Our fifth annual conference theme asks the question:

"Traditional Publishing, Still an Option!?"

A Friday night reception and a full day Saturday conference will be held in the historic Turnage Theater, surrounded by restaurants and one street from the beautiful Pamlico River waterfront.

The FREE Friday Event is open to the public and conference participants. Enjoy our finger food reception, an opportunity to Visit with a publisher (present your work to a publisher for an additional $10 paid to the publisher) and see the 2017 Writers Competition Awards.

The evening highlight is keynote speaker:

Zelda Lockhart

The "Soul" Ingredient of Literary Art

The all-day Saturday event ($59) will begin with a panel discussion followed by sessions led by panel members. After lunch (on your own at restaurants near the theater), there will be a Slam Poetry Performance and two more groups of sessions led by writing professionals. The day will end with Author's Open Mic and a last opportunity to purchase books and socialize.
